As we have accounts with the three largest automotive glass suppliers in the country, we can usually source ANY glass for ANY vehicle on the same day (or usually within 24 hours for non-stocked glass). Q - How much will it cost? A - If you are fully comprehensively insured, all you will pay is your excess (usually £60) and it doesn't affect your No Claims Bonus. This excess covers all body glass in your vehicle - not just your windscreen. We can direct bill almost all insurance companies and we will deal with all the paperwork for you. If you do not have fully comprehensive insurance, please give us a call for a competitive quote.

Q - What are the safety implications? A - Virtually all fixed glasses in vehicles are bonded to the body of the vehicle. In doing this, vehicle manufacturers have found that the structural rigidity of the vehicle can be increased by up to 33%. Bonded windscreens can also be crucial in the correct deployment and restraint of airbags. The adhesive (Sikaflex ®) that we use has been crash tested to the worst case scenarios, is non-conductive (so it won't affect satellite navigation systems) and gives rapid drive-away times.

Q - Where and when will the vehicle be
repaired? A - Your vehicle will be repaired at a time and place convenient to you, however, as most fixed glass is bonded into place, these replacements will need to be carried out in a dry environment (this is to ensure proper adhesion and therefore safety). Outside is fine on a dry day. Once you have called us, we will make an appointment for you. As we all know what it is like to wait all day for someone to call, we are prepared to put our money where our mouths are and will give you a £10 shopping voucher if we are more than one hour late without notification.

Q - Will the glass
be guaranteed? A - If a bonded windscreen is replaced correctly with quality materials and in a suitable environment, a problem is extremely unlikely. We believe that whilst every company at some point will need to carry out a rectification, it is the way a problem is dealt with that impresses the most. In the unlikely event of any problem with any glass, rectification will take utmost priority as covered by our warrantee. |
